This is the hardest update we've ever had to share.
We have spent the last couple of days trying to find the right words...
Late Friday evening, July 10th, a fire tore through our warehouse and office, destroying the home of Forge To Table and everything we have built over the past 9 years.
The most important thing is that no one was injured. For that, we are incredibly grateful. In just a few hours, we lost thousands of hand forged knives, blades, handles, knife blocks, tools, materials, and equipment. More than 10,000 hours of craftsmanship disappeared in the fire. We also lost irreplaceable pieces of our story, including photographs, mementos, our cookbook collection, and memories from nearly a decade of building Forge To Table.
In the midst of it all, the Orange County Fire Authority recovered our digital storage server, preserving years of designs, records, and creative work that otherwise would have been lost. We are deeply grateful for their incredible work and compassion.
There are no words to fully capture the heartbreak and sadness we're feeling. Right now, we're lost, we're scared, and we're trying to process a loss that still doesn't feel real. While the building, tools, and inventory are gone, the heart of Forge To Table remains. The road to rebuilding will be long and challenging, requiring time, patience, and perseverance, but we know we'll get there.
